An End to a Wonderful Week

(Warning: Long post)
What a wonderful week this one has been. It was Spring Break for me and I feel so accomplished this past week. I was able to spend time with family, catch up on housework (no not homework), and do a little remodeling. Last Saturday we went and dug for diamonds with my mom and sister. We didn't find any diamonds, but did come back with a really bad sunburn and really great memories. We had so much fun and laughing about old times. Monday and Tuesday I cleaned house and reorganized (I tried anyway). Wednesday rested and spent time with Isabel and we were able to visit with my grandparents (my dad's parents). Isabel had so much fun walking around with my grandma and looking at the flowers and picking the weeds. Thursday we woke up and Chris regretfully says we need to do some painting around here. (We are always needing to do something.) I say "ok lets do Isabel's room". He says "Holly I was just joking" and then he realizes he should have never said anything. So we went to Lowe's bought paint and other items for painting. My wonderful friend, Leslie, came over and decided we might want a chair rail and of course I agree with her so Chris has to go back to lowe's and brought back not only chair rails but a laser level thing. He finally gets home and we start taping off and we start to use the level and it breaks so back to lowe's. We get started again and we were finally off to a good start. Until we run out of paint. "Chris you need to go get more paint" at this point he wasn't so happy about going. It was 8:30 and they close at 9, but being the good husband he is he knew he better go and get it. So finally it is Sunday and her room is finished with only a few bumps in the road. Maybe he will wait to tell me we need to do something the next time.

Saturday we took a break and went to a friend's birthday party at Gymboree play and music. Before the party Leslie and I went to Hobby Lobby to buy some things for Izzie's room. We made a pit stop at Chile's and then went to the party. Isabel and Tilly had so much fun. I enjoyed it because we got to visit with all of our friends while all our kids played. Saturday night Leslie and I painted letters and canvasas. After working until 2 a.m. I finally crashed. We finally have the room complete. Thank you so much Leslie for all of your help. I am sad to see this week end back to school and work.

A Weekend with the Sory's

Friday night we went over to the Warford's to let the girls play while Leslie and I lay on the couch and do nothing. The girls really took each other's toys all night instead of playing. Sorry no pictures from that night. We were too lazy.
Saturday no real big events. We did go to a family birthday party for one of Chris's cousins.
We went to church this morning which we love. Leslie invited us to church, Geyers Springs Baptist Church, with them and we finally accepted and went. We have gone for a month and really enjoy it. After church we went home and let Isabel take a nap and took her, my mom, and grandma to Wye Mountain. It was really beautiful and Isabel loved it. Sorry I posted so many pictures but I couldn't decide on which ones to post.

She loved playing in this tree. She cried when Chris took her out.

Isabel's 15 month check up

Isabel had her 15 month check up today with Dr. Stanford and which we love him. She wasn't so excited because she had to get a shot and it made me so sad to watch her scared and hurt. He said she was doing perfectly. Here are her stats:
Weight-22 lbs 5 ounces
Height-30.5 inches

What a Beautiful Day

After church and a nap we decided to take advantage of this beautiful weather and take Isabel to the park. She had so much fun. Her daddy had a hard time letting go of her. He was scared she was going to fall and hurt herself. She followed the big kids and wanted to do everything they did. Needless to say she threw a huge fit and screamed the whole way to the car when we were leaving, she did not want to leave.
